KEMAL SEN
I am a second-year UBC BCom candidate who is always willing to acquire knowledge and grow also is proactive to take responsibility.
ABOUT
Me
I gained meaningful professional experiences working for companies such as Coinvestion, a fintech startup developing a disruptive and democratized way for real estate investments. Due to the newness of the blockchain technology we used, most of my time, I have assisted the CEO and the COO, making market research and legal research for operation applications with the BC Securities Commission (BCSC) and the Global Financial Innovation Network (GFIN).
Built and managed customer and investor relationships, I have provided several important connections for the company which took a crucial role in its future. I got the venture admitted to incubator and accelerator programs of UBC and represented it in several province-wide and nation-wide competitions.
A BIT

I, with a group of people, also started a nationwide social project aiming to bring solutions to one of the 17 goals the UN has in its 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. We aim to lower the number of youth NEET (not in education, employment or training) by tackling the barriers youth encounter en route to employment. I lead the BC branch.
I am a passionate kickboxer. I spend my leisure time shooting arrows and taking hiking trips to shoot the perfect frames. I can speak English and Turkish fluently while having conversational Mandarin and basic Russian skills. Every day, I am getting closer to my dream of opening a business where can be a place of hope for the most- using brand new technologies and systems to provide opportunities for the needy or any person with any dream with any level of achievability. I want people to understand that they can realize their dreams and that their dreams should not have any limits.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
I believe that the only limit to the height of my achievements is the reach of my dreams and my willingness to work for them. That's why no matter what sort of difficulties I encountered so far in my life, I never lost my enthusiasm and stopped dreaming.
